Question by : How is it possible for people to have a porn addiction?
ok, I know this is a weird question but come on that’s dumb. Porn is not a drug that you can take, it’s a video of 2 or more people having sexual intercourse. That’s like me saying I have a movie addiction. There is nothing about it that was supposed to be addictive and I’m sure when pornos are made the people don’t say “Hey lets go supply those porn addicts”. I’m so lost, can someone please explain how?

Porn stimulates the mind which releases pleasure chemicals into the body. The body can become dependent on these chemicals, just as like drug addictions. Eventually, more and more stimulation is needed in order to reach the same levels of pleasure – which is why indulging in porn often leads into more and more depraved visual acts – more intense viewing is needed in order to reach that ‘high’

Humans are programmed to be stimulated by sex. It’s part of reproductive instinct. Their psychological reaction while watching porn isn’t the same one you get while watching something for entertainment. Some people are so susceptible to it that they’re no longer able to go through the same emotional and thought processes without the stimulation that porn provides.
