You should be worried. He sounds like he really needs to be hospitalized until he gets on meds. permanently. They should get a police order for him to stay away. like, IMMEDIATELY HE HAS BECOME PSYCHOTIC. I AM NOT KIDDING.

Your answer is not a simple one, it depends on various things… for example how manic does he get, does he have problems with impulse control, does he have a history or rage (different from anger) does he have explosive outbursts, does he have a histroy of violent behavior. That covers the physical part, does he gets emotionally or verbally abusive to his ex or their children, words are almost as bad as fists when dealing with children and the scars last longer. How depressed does he get whe he is in an depressive episode, has he ever self-injured or attempted suicide? His death if by suicide, which is a real possiblity if he is bipolar, could shatter the family and friends around him, no matter how bad he acts towards them….Also, medication is only one piece of the puzzle when dealing with any mental illness, he also needs behavioral therapy to change his, what I see from your question. abusive, controlling, and angry behavior….

And on a side note, I wouldn’t worry about God striking anyone down anytime soon…..
